Projects

Ventures, infrastructure, personal builds, and a few from the college robotics days.

SquareOne Creations

Product Co. · active

Designed and manufactured the SideRide Bike Mount, a truck bed bike carrier for Tacoma, Tundra, and Gladiator owners. From concept to CAD to customer. Founded 2019.

GearVote

Web App · active

Built a full-stack gear rating platform from scratch. It was my first venture using AI-assisted development, and I chose the tech stack, designed the product, and shipped it solo with zero prior web dev experience.

JRWLabs Dashboard

Web App · active

JRWLabs Dashboard is my personal operating system for building financial independence while holding down a full-time job and raising a family. It's the single place where my ventures, investments, intelligence, and decisions live. Built by me, for exactly how my brain works. At its core is Apex Signal, a triple-scanner stock intelligence system that monitors Reddit sentiment, SEC/regulatory filings, and institutional options flow via Unusual Whales, cross-references all three by ticker through a correlation engine, and pushes a conviction-scored alert to my phone when something clears the threshold. It paper trades automatically against its own signals to validate itself over time. Around that sits everything else I need to run my life as a founder: an Idea Vault with 62+ ideas and a full validation framework, a Stock Watchlist organized by account and thesis, Action Items that persist across sessions, a Career Clarity guide, a Five-Year Plan with financial modeling, and a Thought of the Day that keeps my ENTJ brain calibrated at 5 AM. The whole thing runs on about $8-9/month.

LucidBreak

Web App · active

A career clarity AI that asks 10 open-ended questions and delivers a personalized self-understanding profile. It isn't a personality quiz, it's a reading of who you actually are. Answers are interpreted through MBTI psychology and frameworks from Greene, Thiel, Clear, Naval, Fadell, Hormozi, and Graham. The output is a tabbed interactive profile: your words reflected back with honest interpretation, a framework lens, a pattern diagnosis, and three concrete next steps.

Home Lab

Infrastructure · active

Designed and deployed a full home network from scratch, including a Ubiquiti gateway, managed APs, a camera system, and a custom Unraid NAS. Both the server and modem run on strategic UPS coverage for uptime. I built, configured, and maintain all of it solo.

Graphic Design

DESIGN · active

Self-taught. Designed logos, shirts, and brand assets over the years. The work I'm most proud of: my wife's friend started a boutique handmade chocolate business and asked for help. I designed her logo from scratch and helped guide the early e-commerce side of things. The business took off, they opened a physical storefront in Asheville, and my logo is on the building. I've also designed and sold shirts through SquareOne Creations.

House Renovation

Personal · personal

Renovated an entire house within 7 months while working full time, handling the electrical, carpentry, drywall, framing, plumbing, painting, and flooring myself. Spent north of $30k on materials and tools alone. I self-managed the whole project, budget and timeline included.

Vehicles

Personal · personal

Automotive enthusiast with a long history of modified builds. Current garage: a built Tacoma set up for off-road and overland adventures, and a Golf Alltrack tuned into a fast, practical dadwagon. Every vehicle gets modified because stock is just the starting point.

Firefighting Robot

College · shipped

Designed and built an autonomous firefighting robot for the 2013 ITEC 467 Mobile Robotics competition. Handled all mechanical design and taught myself Basic from scratch to program a BX-24P microcontroller. Won Best Firefighting Robot.

S.A.M.S.O.N.

College · shipped

Led the full team and managed five sub-teams of students through the 2013 ATMAE National Championship, and we won. Each sub-team owned a specific robot system. I handled mechanical design personally and engineered the ground ball ingestion system from scratch.

Humanoid Soccer Robot

College · shipped

Independent study with no syllabus and no structure. Built and programmed a humanoid robot to play soccer with a partner. I owned the striker, handling its movement, decision-making, and ball interaction, while my partner handled the goalie. The end goal was a full 3-robot team. Two of us, two robots, figuring it out as we went.
